QUOTE (NorbertE @ 13.10.2011, 23:52) | QUOTE (Tomarse @ 13.10.2011, 15:33) | but if there was the possibility of borrowing a good spare engine then that would be fantastic. |
No problem, Tom. You must say: 1,5 horse power, 1,8 , 2,3 or I must need special tools to bring it to "heaven". I mean... ...Formula one- like. |
2.3?! Wow, the power! My face is the same as my avatar. Would that still be under 50cc? This is the only rule for this journey.

We have here the user "BlueKr50". He can bring your motor parts to a finsish like the pic. The carb NKJ 123 is the right one for your engine Rh50 II. The Number 123 say 12mm of airhole through and the 3 ist the Number of series. Its standard. It is possibil to do anything inside of the little engine. Than it works (with a bit of more power) also with a carb 134 (13mm airhole). Always 50ccm!! The compression is higher, more fuel (air/benzin) gos inside and so on... If you would know the correct date of building, we must know the framenumber. Also the enginenumber. The framenumber is on typplate and on rightside underneath the saddle on frame on top. The motornumber is on leftside the motor on top in near the left pedalarm. You can also have a look a the list of SR1/2/2E from the user. https://www.ddrmoped.de/forum/index.php?showtopic=9856 (click on the link at the end of statement and open the excelfile). Search a number in near your framenumber and you can find your date of production. It is a good idea, your SR keep in original style. The mecanical upgrade is expensive enough... edit: Bevor you buy anything of spareparts, ask here!!! The reason why is: not all of spareparts are working well. Anything of this are chinese "Schrott".

Oh, oh . You've still got a SR 2 . But it has the new front fork of the SR 2E . In 1958 was the SR 2, not yet SR 2E ! SR 2E cames since 1960 !

Its 58 and the engine is the original! Its absolutly normal, we have a diffrent between frame- and motornumber. Round about is this the factor 1,03. Alex, I think, the front fork (and any other parts) are spare parts a little bit later. An accident or so... Its normally and often seen. Look at the diffrent colors. Also this engine can been upgrad to (50ccm!!) more power. Its a little bit a diffrent, what you need: topspeed or power in low rotation. Together is not possibil. My intension is always "power" because you can work with diffrent sprokets (Ha, I have a new word in fuckin english ) Without power you can`t go well on hills and you get also nothing of speed. Without power your are always a sleeper....
